Biogeographic barriers in the circulation and interaction of hunter-gatherer marine fishers: The role of the Taitao Peninsula and the Gulf of Penas (\u223c 47\u00b0S) in the differentiation of the cultural trajectories of West Patagonia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3389\/feart.2022.946732\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3389\/feart.2022.946732<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n arqueol\u00f3gica sobre el asentamiento humano del archipi\u00e9lago patag\u00f3nico, en el extremo sur de Sudam\u00e9rica, por grupos de cazadores-recolectores, pescadores o canoeros, implica tanto la comprensi\u00f3n de las distintas formas de subsistencia como de los posibles flujos de bienes e interacciones humanas que pudieron darse desde el Holoceno medio en este extenso territorio. Por lo tanto, es fundamental exponer el estudio de c\u00f3mo actuaron las barreras geogr\u00e1ficas producidas en la Patagonia occidental, debido a que permite evaluar y discutir no s\u00f3lo las caracter\u00edsticas o particularidades de la ocupaci\u00f3n en el territorio del archipi\u00e9lago, sino tambi\u00e9n su funci\u00f3n en la circulaci\u00f3n y en el contacto de poblaciones canoeras, su relevancia en el asentamiento, en la ocupaci\u00f3n del archipi\u00e9lago patag\u00f3nico y su posible impacto en la diferenciaci\u00f3n de trayectorias culturales de los grupos canoeros que lo habitaron. Se analiz\u00f3 y discuti\u00f3 el registro arqueol\u00f3gico de las \u00e1reas adyacentes a la barrera geogr\u00e1fica formada por la Pen\u00ednsula de Taitao, la costa noreste y Sur del Golfo de Penas en Patagonia occidental (47\u00b0S).
